I've just been introduced the the world of Visual studio. I'm aC++ developer so I'm working with visual C++ 2015. I need to build a project that is build with visual studio 2010. I keep getting an error asking me to retarget my project or install The build tools for Visual Studio 2010 (v100).
My question is where can I find the build tools for Visual Studio 2010 (v100) in order to install them. I do not want to upgrade and I don't want to install the whole visual studio 2010.
can you help me understand this ?
The error is as follows:
ErrorMSB8020:The build tools for Visual Studio 2010 (Platform Toolset = 'v100') cannot be found. To build using the v100 build tools, please install Visual Studio 2010 build tools. Alternatively, you may upgrade to the current Visual Studio tools by selecting the Project menu or right-click the solution, and then selecting "Retarget solution".
